Despite modest beginnings, a partnership with German direct sales experts helped HYLA expand its network and focus on in-house development, production and exports. Together with HYLA International GmbH, they created a leading air and room cleaning system, now renowned for its quality, sustainability and innovation. Today, the HYLA air and room cleaning system is present in more than 70 countries worldwide, with a sales network of around 15,000 representatives.
Awareness of the importance of clean rooms
The coronavirus pandemic has raised awareness of the importance of clean homes. The HYLA system ensures a clean home by cleaning not only surfaces such as floors and upholstered furniture but also the entire room, removing dust, allergens, mites and odours from the air. The air that passes through the HYLA water filter is cleaned in a water bath. Dust and dirt remain in the water, which retains 99.9% of all contaminants.
HYLA in every home
You won't find HYLA on the shelves of traditional or online stores. The product is sold through a direct sales system that gives customers a personal experience and a detailed understanding of how it works and all the benefits of using it. During COVID, there was a significant change in the way Hyla presented its product, as traditional in-home demonstrations were no longer possible. Short videos on how to use the product began to appear on HYLA associates' profiles, and awareness of HYLA and its benefits spread incredibly rapidly.
German and Austrian "mumpreneurs" boost sales
In Germany and Austria, many young mothers between the ages of 25 and 30 have joined HYLA, often with three or four children and strong support from their partners. While family remains their top priority, they appreciate the flexibility in working hours that HYLA offers. Most started as enthusiastic HYLA users, sharing their experiences on social media (especially Instagram and TikTok) before joining the sales network as 'mumpreneurs' (enterprising mothers).
HYLA remains family owned
HYLA has received offers to buy the company, but it is not for sale. The company will remain primarily family-owned, with key employees continuing to hold shares. They believe this is the best model for Hyla's future success.
