Its latest product, the Slip-On Line Exhaust System for the Lamborghini Aventador, received the Red Dot Award in the 2016 Product Design category. This exhaust system further enhances the performance and reputation of this already exemplary machine. The precision-engineered hybrid exhaust system, made of titanium and Inconel, was designed especially for its V12 high-performance engine. The Slip-On Line Exhaust System enhances the performance of the Aventador and is also 13.8 kg (46%) lighter than the stock system. The use of titanium provides a lightweight and highperformance system.

The sound can be regulated with an incorporated state-of-the-art Akrapovič Sound Kit to control the exhaust valves, while the unique tailpipes made of carbon fibre and titanium form the visible, striking finish of the system.

The Red Dot Award represents recognition of Akrapovič’s dedication to achieving high design standards, acknowledging the company’s uniqueness and attention to detail when developing new products.

The award-winning product is on display at the Red Dot Design Museum in Essen, Germany, featured in its online presentation, and showcased in the Red Dot Design Yearbook 2015/2016.
