Swiss pharma group Sandoz completed the construction of a new biosimilars centre in Ljubljana. The fully digitally integrated centre will employ over 200 scientists and will support end-to-end drug substance and drug product development, backed by advanced analytics and data science. The newly opened centre is the first of three major investment projects, which also include new facilities in Lendava in eastern Slovenia for drug substance production and in Brnik near Ljubljana Airport for sterile production and packaging. The total value of the three projects is expected to exceed €1 billion.
