SPIRIT Slovenia Business Development Agency recently hosted the fifth annual gathering of Slovenian companies selected as ambassadors for the national "I feel Slovenia. Green. Creative. Smart." campaign. These companies, known for their sustainable, innovative and smart solutions, play a key role in enhancing Slovenia’s global image as a stable and forward-thinking business environment.
The event commenced in Ajdovščina at the development center of Pipistrel, a global leader in sustainable aviation and one of the campaign's ambassadors. In 2022, Pipistrel joined Textron Inc., specifically its Textron eAviation division, which focuses on developing a range of sustainable aircraft for urban air mobility, general aviation, cargo and special missions. Attendees were introduced to Pipistrel's future vision and innovative products, including the Nuuva V300, a hybrid-electric VTOL unmanned cargo aircraft, scheduled for its first flight later this year.
The second part of the event took place in Lipica, a renowned Slovenian cultural site. Welcoming addresses were given by Rok Capl, Director of SPIRIT Slovenia, and Matjaž Han, the Minister of the Economy, Tourism and Sport. The highlight of the event was a roundtable discussion featuring executives from Donar, Marles Hiše, Duol, and Medex — fellow ambassadors of Slovenia's business. The discussion centered on the potential of the "Made in Slovenia" brand to elevate the country’s global reputation. They expressed confidence that the brand, if approached thoughtfully and systematically, could create new opportunities for Slovenia's economy to further enhance its positioning.
After the official program, participants had the chance to network and explore collaboration opportunities. The gathering concluded on a positive note, with hopes for more events that foster connections, sharing and synergies among Slovenia's companies -ambassadors for the national "I feel Slovenia. Green.
