Yaskawa increases investments in Kočevje

In May the Japanese company announced plans to further increase the investment in Kočevje, and build a new factory for inverter drives, servo drives and servo motors. The new investment is estimated to be between 20 and 30 million euros.

Last November the Japanese robotics company Yaskawa started to build its first European factory in the small Slovenian town of Kočevje, near Ljubljana. In May the Japanese company announced plans to further increase the investment in Kočevje, and also build a new factory for inverter drives, servo drives and servo motors. The new investment is estimated to be between 20 and 30 million euros, while construction is planned to begin next April. The production of robots at the current facility will start by the end of this year. Both factories will employ around 500 people, while the firm’s Robotics Division currently employs some 960 workers across Europe.
