Slovenian business daily Finance published a list of the largest Slovenian exporters in early summer. In first place, somewhat surprisingly, was GEN-I, an electricity trader which mostly markets electricity produced in the Krško nuclear power station. The value of GEN-I's exports in 2015 exceeded 1.47 billion euros – a hefty 43 percent over the company's 2014 export figure. Slovenia's pharmaceutical superstar Krka is on second place, while third place went to Revoz, Renault's factory in Slovenia. The value of exports of both companies slightly exceeded 1 billion euros – interestingly, both companies have headquarters in Novo mesto, a small town south of Ljubljana. Other companies on the top of the list: Lek (pharmaceuticals – 803 million euros of exports), HSE (electricity – 739 million euros), Gorenje (home appliances – 609 million), Impol (aluminum producer), Cimos (automotive components), Acroni (high value steel) and Hella Saturnus (automotive components).
