Slovenian Steel Group (SIJ), one of Europe's leading producers of stainless steel and special steels, is looking for a new strategic partner. The new partner should bring new strategies, access to new markets, and speed up development and competitiveness in an increasingly challenging global environment. In late 2025, SIJ began preparing plans for a thorough strategic restructuring of the group with the help of AT Kearney and is also negotiating with banks on a long-term refinancing solution. SIJ Group is a regular recipient of the highest national awards for innovation and supplies special steels for the most demanding applications, for example in ITER, the world's largest experimental fusion reactor.
