A newly developed molecule by researchers at the Faculty of Pharmacy in Ljubljana has been shown to improve memory and learning in mice suffering from cognitive disorders.
Researchers at the Faculty of Pharmacy in Ljubljana have developed a promising new molecule that significantly enhances memory and learning abilities in mice with cognitive disorders. This breakthrough could pave the way for the development of innovative drugs targeting cognitive impairments in humans, including Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disease, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, epilepsy, and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. Remarkably, the molecule demonstrates effectiveness comparable to rivastigmine, a commonly used treatment, but without the associated adverse effects.
