RTC, a Maribor-based engineering company, has developed one of the world's most powerful hybrid batteries designed for both heavy machinery and hybrid supercars. This innovation is part of their work on a hybrid multi-purpose unmanned vehicle and a self-driving trailer, as revealed by company’s CEO Sašo Emin. Established in 2001 from the remnants of the TAM - Maribor Automobile Factory, RTC has focused on creating various vehicles and energy systems, shifting towards independent development since 2017. Their flagship products include the Vepkov, a 6 × 6 hybrid unmanned vehicle equipped with advanced sensors for autonomous navigation, and a powered trailer capable of traversing difficult terrain. The Vepkov vehicle, which can be utilized for military or firefighting purposes, is currently being showcased at SIDEC, Slovenia's first international defense industry fair, alongside other projects like an electric all-terrain vehicle.
