Slovenia recorded its best tourism results yet in 2025, driven mainly by foreign visitors.
The country welcomed just under seven million tourists, 6.2% more than in 2024, and registered 17.8 million overnight stays, up 5.9%. Slovenians generated around 4.5 million nights, roughly the same as the year before, while foreign guests contributed 13.4 million, an 8% increase. Three‑quarters of all nights came from abroad, with German visitors leading the way with over two million nights. Tourists from Italy, Austria, Croatia, the Czech Republic and the Netherlands also ranked high. Hotels remained the most popular accommodation choice, followed by private rooms and campsites. Mountain resorts attracted the most visitors, recording 2.2 million arrivals and 6.2 million nights, while Ljubljana, the coast and spa resorts continued to be among the top destinations.
