Slovenia's Competition Protection Agency has approved the joint venture between port operator Luka Koper and the French logistics firm CEVA Corporate Services, a subsidiary of CMA CGM, confirming that it complies with competition rules. The JV, rooted in a 20-year Franco-Slovenian business relationship, establishes a 50/50 partnership for automotive logistics services covering vehicle imports and exports. Beyond the JV, both companies are exploring joint investments to expand Luka Koper's capacity and strengthen Slovenia's role as a strategic European gateway, particularly in light of the emerging India–Middle East–Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC). The partnership targets growth through digitalisation and decarbonisation. It was formally confirmed last October with the signing of a declaration, witnessed by Slovenian Prime Minister Robert Golob and French President Emmanuel Macron.
