Ljubljana has been named Europe’s Best Creative City Destination for 2026 at the 13^th Creative Tourism Awards. Selected from 223 candidates across 28 countries, the Slovenian capital impressed the international jury with its deep integration of creativity into its urban identity, tourism strategy, and long-term development. 

Key highlights include the Rog Centre, a creative hub in a former bike factory, and the annual LUV Fest, which showcases concerts, opera, dance, and exhibitions. Ljubljana’s cultural districts, such as Soteska and Šiška, further enrich its creative ecosystem. The city’s approach prioritizes authenticity, community engagement, and year-round cultural vitality, setting a new standard for creative tourism in Europe.
