The Slovenian automotive cluster's groundbreaking initiative, Green Mobility (GREMO), has been granted a substantial government subsidy of 200 million euros over the next five years. Its mission, unveiled at the strategic conference in May, is to take a leading role in the development of innovative technologies for environmentally friendly and sustainable forms of transportation. The GREMO initiative places particular emphasis on key elements such as advanced drive systems for electric vehicles, novel battery technologies, and the utilization of lightweight materials. In 2022, total sales of the Slovenian automotive industry reached 5.1 billion euros. With the support of the GREMO initiative and other strategic endeavors, industry experts anticipate that sales will further increase, reaching an estimated 7.8 billion euros by 2030.
