The Slovenian economy is expected to grow by 1.9 percent in 2024 – one percentage point above the average growth in the EU.
The latest European Commission's report foresees a 1.9 percentage growth for the Slovenian economy in 2024. That is slightly less than in the November forecast (2 percentage growth), yet still above EU and eurozone averages. The EU's economy is projected to grow by 0.9 percent and the eurozone’s economies by 0.8 percent. In 2025, Slovenian GDP is expected to grow faster – by 2.7 percent, while the EU’s average should reach 1.7 percent. The Institute of Macroeconomic Analysis and Development of the Republic of Slovenia (IMAD) is even more positive and forecasts 2.4 percent growth for 2024. Last year the Slovenian economy grew by 1.6 percent. The inflation figures, meanwhile, are down. Last year prices rose by 4.2 percent. According to the EC inflation should stay at 2.9 percent. The IMAD’s Spring Report forecasts a 2.7 percent price increase in 2024.
