Slovenian ski jumper Domen Prevc has become an ambassador of the Slovenian economy, tourism, and cultural heritage. SPIRIT Slovenia, the Slovenian Tourist Board (STO), and the Lipica Stud Farm are establishing a joint partnership with him, through which they will address both domestic and international audiences and strengthen Slovenia’s visibility in global markets.

Tamara Zajec Balažič, Director of SPIRIT Slovenia, emphasized that Slovenia’s top athletes embody the same values that define the country’s economic success: “Elite athletes are exceptional ambassadors of the values that drive Slovenia’s economy. With Domen Prevc, we are forging a powerful link between sporting excellence and business performance. Our collaboration is founded on shared principles — outstanding results, resilience, constant improvement, and the ability to compete with the best in the world. We believe that by connecting elite sports and the economy, we will further enhance the visibility of the Slovenian economy, encourage an entrepreneurial mindset, and create a stronger image of Slovenia as a country of innovation, sustainable solutions and outstanding global achievements.

Domen Prevc expressed pride in taking on the new role: “It is a great honor to become an ambassador for the I feel Slovenia brand. Slovenia is not only my home — it is my source of energy, peace, and inspiration. I look forward to representing the authenticity, beauty, innovation, and warmth of our country through sport and the values I stand for. I am especially excited to collaborate with the Lipica Stud Farm, a symbol of Slovenia’s rich cultural identity.”

The appointment comes at a moment of historic achievement for Slovenian ski jumping. This season, siblings Domen and Nika Prevc both secured the prestigious overall World Cup titles, marking an unprecedented milestone for Slovenia. Domen Prevc crowned his season with two Olympic gold medals, a world championship title in ski flying, the Golden Eagle trophy, the overall World Cup crystal globe, and the small crystal globe for winning the ski flying standings. Nika Prevc matched this excellence with 40 World Cup victories, a world‑record jump of 242.5 meters, three Olympic medals, and her third consecutive overall World Cup title as the world’s best female ski jumper. Their combined accomplishments further solidify Slovenia’s reputation as a powerhouse in winter sports and enhance its international profile as a destination of excellence, innovation, and world-class performance.

By connecting top-tier sport with forward‑looking industry and sustainable tourism, Slovenia continues to position itself as an agile, creative, and globally competitive economy.
