Ljubljana, 10 April (STA) - Industrial output in Slovenia grew by 3.3% in February over January, mainly on the back of mining and quarrying, which increased by 8.1%, the Statistics Office said on Wednesday. Electricity, gas and steam supply grew by 6.8% and processing was up by 2.5%. Year-on-year, industrial output grew by 2.7%.
A growth in industrial output was recorded in all three purpose-of-use categories: in wide consumption it was up by 4.2%, in investment products it grew by 4,1% and in intermediate goods it increased by 3.6%.
Industrial sales retail increased slightly in February, going up by 0.4% compared to January. On foreign markets, the increase was 1% while on the domestic markets it decreased by 0.8%. In annual comparison, retail was down 1.3%.
Total value of stock was 0.7% higher than in January. Compared to February 2023, stock value was up 2.4%.
