Bits & Pretzels is one of Europe’s leading founders festivals, bringing together founders, investors and corporate decision-makers in Munich each year during Oktoberfest. In 2026 it takes place from 28 to 30 September and, as in previous years, it is strongly connected to the Bavarian industrial base, from automotive and manufacturing to industrial technology and mobility.
SPIRIT Slovenia is bringing a national delegation of six Slovenian startups to the festival. The aim is to open doors to the German and wider DACH market: to connect Slovenian technology companies with German industrial buyers, corporate partners and investors, to increase the visibility of the Slovenian innovation ecosystem in one of its most important export markets, and to give participating companies direct access to the partners and capital they need to scale.
The six companies were selected through an open public call, in which SPIRIT Slovenia received 16 applications. Selection criteria included the relevance of the technology for the German and DACH market, product maturity and traction, the clarity of the company’s goals for the market, and the strength of the team.
