Eight Slovenian companies and institutions specialising in sophisticated high-tech niche products and services, and excelling in space exploration, will present themselves at the IAC - International Astronautical Congress 2024, which brings together the most important leaders, institutions and companies in the field of space.
Slovenia has a long tradition as a space nation. From Herman Potočnik Noordung's visionary book "The Problem of Space Travel: The Rocket Motor" from 1928 to the three satellites in space, Slovenian science and industry have developed new solutions for exploring the universe and making better use of space data in all areas of life. In 2016, Slovenia joined the space nations and plans to become a full member of European Space Agency by 2024.
Slovenian companies are active in various areas of the space industry, with a particular focus on niche products and services such as Earth observation applications, processing of large amounts of data from space, control and measurement systems, new materials that can be used in the harsh space environment, artificial intelligence, equipment for ground stations, microcoolers, new solutions in the field of miniaturisation, on-board health monitoring of astronauts, and micro- and nanosatellites.
We invite you to meet Slovenian companies and discuss opportunities for research and business cooperation.
You are cordially invited to a reception ceremony hosted by Mr Matjaž Han, Minister of Economy, Tourism and Sport of the Republic of Slovenia.
Tuesday, 15 October 2024 from 16:00 - 18:00 at stand MN-E09.
