In light of strengthening cooperation between Slovenia and Japan, the Public Agency for Investment, Entrepreneurship and Internationalization – SPIRIT Slovenia, in cooperation with the Ministry of the Economy, Tourism and Sport, the Slovenia - Japan Business Council (SJBC), and with the support of the Embassy of Slovenia in Japan, JETRO an JOI is organizing a business and investment conference titled "Slovenia – Japan. Hydrogen, advanced technologies and mobility for a common future." The event will take place in the presence of the Minister of the Economy, Tourism and Sport of the Republic of Slovenia. You are kindly invited to register and attend the conference.
Hydrogen technologies are emerging as a key solution for achieving carbon-neutral energy. Slovenia’s top-notch expertise in the field of hydrogen technology development supports innovation across the entire hydrogen value chain - from production to end-use - contributing to sustainable development in sectors like mobility, transport, and industry. Slovenian industry is actively aligning with European and global hydrogen trends through participation in major EU projects, such as IPCEI and the North Adriatic Hydrogen Valley, boosting the visibility and impact of Slovenian innovation.
Slovenia’s active role in global hydrogen innovation is reflected in the creation of a strong national consortium of 18 companies, organizations, and municipalities - key to building a domestic hydrogen ecosystem. This initiative also strengthens cooperation with Japan, a global leader in hydrogen technology. Through successful collaboration with the Japanese agency NEDO on the project of smart grids and smart communities, a successful experience has been achieved, and the consortium has been the path to concrete pilot projects in the field of hydrogen.
To further strengthen excellent cooperation between Slovenia and Japan, we are pleased to announce the upcoming conference Slovenia - Japan. Hydrogen, advanced technologies and mobility for a common future.
The conference will spotlight Slovenia’s expertise in advanced technologies, hydrogen, and sustainable mobility, offering a unique platform to explore business and investment opportunities in Slovenia -and enhance the Slovenian - Japanese cooperation.
