From 14 June to 14 July, the attention of the European public will be focused on Germany, where European football teams will compete for the European football throne. For the first time in 24 years, Slovenia is among the 32 participants. Our athletes, embodying Slovenia's perseverance, innovation, and excellence, serve as our nation's greatest ambassadors. Their successes highlight Slovenia as a prime destination for tourism, investment, and international cooperation.
The conference will strengthen further cooperation between German and Slovenian partners, showcasing top business, sport, science, and tourism initiatives. Participants will gain insights into good practices and experiences of German companies in Slovenia and explore business opportunities between Slovenian and German companies.

Mladen Ljubas has been a passionate logistician at DB Schenker for 33 years,. From 1991 to 1994, he trained as a forwarding agent. From 1994 to 2006, he worked as a dispatcher at Schenker & CO AG in Austria. From 2006 to 2023, he was responsible for cluster management with a focus on road brokerage, direct traffic, intermodal transport, and product management for the Adriatic region.
Frank Sarbinowski graduated in electrical engineering from the Technical University of Darmstadt in 1995. From 1996 to March 2024, he held the position of Vice President Administration and Strategy at Bosch Rexroth. He currently holds the position of Commercial Director at Bosch's Brno plant Rexroth Slovenia.
Robert Lešnik studied Transportation Design in Pforzheim, Germany, where he earned the title of Dipl. Designer. He has worked as a car designer at Volkswagen, KIA, and Mercedes Benz. Since 2004, he is the Director of Exterior Design for Passenger Cars at Mercedes Benz in Sindelfingen, Germany.
Jure Podkrižnik trained as a mechanical engineer and completed his master’s degree at the Technische Universität München. Today, he is responsible for strategic projects in the family business and has co-created various start-ups along the way, which he leads to further growth with teams of dedicated individuals.
Dr. Tomaž Štokelj started his career as an electrical engineer at Soške elektrarne Nova Gorica. Between 2002 and 2017 he was the Executive Director of Marketing at the HSE. In 2021, he became Director of Strategic Portfolio Management at Gen-I, and since November 2022 he has been Managing Director of Holding Slovenske elektrarne, Slovenia's largest electricity producer and trader.
Dejan Petelin is an AI expert and co-founder of Pareto AI, a company specialising in the development of AI solutions. He has been working in the field of AI for 15 years, starting his career as a researcher at the Jožef Stefan Institute, where he also received his PhD. Prior to founding Pareto AI, he was active for 6 years in London at the start-up Gousto, an unicorn, which received an investment from SoftBank and a valuation of more than 1 billion dollars. He is currently developing a new AI-powered help desk product that can answer complex questions based on information from databases.
Jan Löwhagen holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Lund University in Sweden. He started his career in 1990 at Atlas Copco Mining & Construction in Sweden. From 2005 he worked at Volvo Trucks as Sales, Product and Marketing Manager for Central Europe and joined MAN Truck & Bus in 2019 as Senior Vice President Sales Operations. In 2022 he became the Managing Director of MAN Truck & Bus.
Dr. Tobias K. Stricker is Director of Strategic Investments at Knauf Group, a leading building materials manufacturer. After graduating in Business Economics from the University of Mannheim in 2002 and obtaining his PhD in World Trade Law from the Vienna University of Economics, he joined the University of Michigan Law School as a consultant and later as a researcher. He joined the Knauf Group in 2007.
Dr. Iztok Seljak started his career at Hidria in 1989, where he held various management positions. In 1996 he became Head of Hidria Rotomatics, in 2002 Vice President for Industrial Sales, and in 2004 he took over the management of Hidria Automotive, the company's automotive division. Since 2018 he has been the CEO of Hidria Holding. He received numerous awards including the CLEPA Award for the Best Eco Innovation in the European Automotive Supplier Industry 2016.
Gorazd Lampič is the CEO and co-founder of Elaphe Propulsion Technologies Ltd., and has been involved in the development of electric vehicles and multiple wheel drive in-wheel electric systems since 2003. His theoretical background includes astrophysics and electrical engineering. Under his leadership, Elaphe has won several international awards for business and innovation.
Dr. Jürgen Guldner earned his PhD in Control Engineering and Robotics at the Technical University of Munich and DLR Oberpfaffenhofen and worked in the field of axles, steering and vertical dynamics systems and the first hybrid production model. Since 2018 he is the Program Manager for Hydrogen Technology at BMW AG.
Dr. Iztok Kramberger is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Informatics at the University of Maribor, where he heads the Laboratory for Electronic and Information Systems. He is also Chief Innovation Officer at SkyLabs d.o.o. and Head of Disruptive Technologies at Qundis GmbH. He leads the successful Slovenian TRISAT and TRISAT-R satellite missions in low and medium Earth orbit and the latest TRISAT-S mission in very low Earth orbit.
