At the time of EXPO 2020, Slovenia has regionally positioned itself as a "pioneering state" in the field of advanced digital technologies in MENA region. International events organized on advanced digital technologies (artificial intelligence, blockchain, internet of things) were based on presentations of both Slovenian companies and representatives and advocates of these technologies in the region.

Slovenia has released NFT for the purpose of the digital presentation at EXPO 2020 and is the first country in the world with an innovative marketing service with digitized industrial design in 3D presentation and tourist destinations. This kind of innovative way of marketing the Slovenian industry with digital presentation is developed further through technologies of virtual and augmented reality through Digital twins (in the world used today "Metaverse" with advanced digital technology Web 3.0).
Addressing the challenges related to climate change and achieving the goals of green transition and sustainable development is more efficient using advanced digital technologies. As a part of the establishment of a regional junction for advanced digital technologies in Dubai, Slovenia will present digital technologies for the green transition in the spirit of the upcoming COP28 in Dubai.
The event is organized by the Ministry of the Economy, Tourism and Sport of the Republic of Slovenia, SPIRIT Slovenia, public agency and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia.
