Japanese robotics company Yaskawa has completed an investment in two new facilities in Slovenia: the European Robotics Distribution Center and an assembly hall for robot systems.
Japanese robotics company Yaskawa has completed a €32 million investment in two new facilities in the Slovenian town of Kočevje: the European Robotics Distribution Center and an additional assembly hall for robot systems. This new distribution center serves as Yaskawa’s central hub for processing and fulfilling robot orders across the EMEA region (Europe, the Middle East, and Africa). Situated adjacent to Yaskawa’s first European robot factory, which opened in 2018, these facilities together form the Yaskawa Campus. The campus now comprises three key units: the YER (Yaskawa Europe Robotics) robot manufacturing plant, the ERDC (European Robot Distribution Center), and YRS (Yaskawa Ristro), a company providing turnkey robotic solutions for diverse technological processes throughout Europe.
The projects were co-financed by the Ministry of the Economy, Labour and Sport and by the European Union through the Recovery and Resilience Plan, with implementation managed by SPIRIT Slovenia Business Development Agency.
