Upper chamber head happy with Slovenia's Expo Osaka appearance

Osaka, 22 May (STA) - Visiting the Expo 2025 Osaka alongside a business delegation on Thursday, National Council President Marko Lotrič expressed pride in Slovenia's presentation at what he sees as an extraordinary opportunity to promote the country's business sector, know-how and tourism.

Spirit, the public agency for internationalisation, said in a press release that Slovenia's pavilion reflected the country's innovativeness, sustainability and openness.

He praised the clear vision highlighting coexistence with nature and sustainable solutions, two of the key challenges and values marking this Expo.

"Slovenia's presence and active promotion at such an event is very important for the strengthening of economic cooperation, attracting foreign investments and promoting the country's knowledge and tourism," Lotrič was quoted as saying by Spirit.

"Slovenia's attendance at the Expo reaffirms the country's dedication to international cooperation and sustainable development. I expect Expo 2025 Osaka will open new doors to Asian markets and strengthen Slovenia's repute internationally."

Lotrič and the accompanying business delegation have been in Japan since Saturday, attending a business forum in Tokyo on Monday. At the Expo, they visited the pavilions of Croatia, Saudi Arabia, Germany, South Korea, China and Japan.
