Ljubljana, 27 December (STA) - Slovenia's survey unemployment rate rose by 0.2 percentage points in November to 5.2%, the seventh consecutive monthly increase. This is the highest level since March 2021, show the latest Statistics Office data.
The statisticians estimate around 54,000 people were unemployed in November, of which 57% were men and 43% women.
The unemployment rate was 5.4% in men and 4.9% in women.
The monthly survey unemployment figures are experimental and model-based, and hence less reliable than quarterly figures, the Statistics Office says.
