Ljubljana, 27 October (STA) - Slovenia's monthly survey unemployment rate stood at 3.1% in September, marking a 0.2 percentage point increase from August. However, it was down by 1.1 percentage points compared to the same month last year, the Statistics Office reported on Monday.
Statisticians estimate that approximately 31,000 people between the ages of 15 and 74 were unemployed in September. Of these, 57.3% were men and 42.7% were women. The survey unemployment rate was 3.2% for men and 2.9% for women.
The monthly survey unemployment figures are classified as experimental statistics. They are estimated using a model and are therefore considered less reliable than quarterly figures.
