Luxembourg, 18 December (STA) - The volume of construction work in Slovenia decreased by 13.4% in October on an annual basis, which was the second largest drop in the EU, with Slovenia trailing only Romania, shows a report released by Eurostat on Wednesday.
Romania recorded the largest year-on-year drop (-14.5%) in October, while the biggest increase in the volume of construction work was recorded in Portugal (+6.9%). It declined in the entire EU on average by 0.8%.
On a monthly basis, Slovenia recorded a 0.6% growth in October, which is close to the EU average of 0.7%. The largest increase was recorded in Slovakia (+7.9%), and the largest drop in Romania (-8.3%).
