Ljubljana, 08 May (STA) - NLB, Slovenia's largest banking group, posted a net profit of EUR 125.8 million in the first quarter of 2025, a year-on-year drop of 10%. Net revenue increased by 5% to EUR 312.2 million, the bank announced on Thursday, describing its results as good.
Net interest revenue increased by 1% to EUR 233.9 million, while net non-interest revenue surged by 19% to EUR 78.3 million.
Total costs went up by 17% to EUR 145.7 million, while profit before impairments and provisions amounted to EUR 158.5 million, down by 4%. Impairments and provisions increased by 162% year-on-year to EUR 12.2 million.
The group's total assets amounted to EUR 28.68 billion, which is up 2% compared to the start of the year and 10% more than at the same time last year. The growth was driven by the takeover of the leasing group SLS, which was completed in September, the bank said.
