Ljubljana, 12 May (STA) - The Environment Ministry announced on Monday that it was preparing a call for applications for green cargo logistics projects in 2025-2026. The tender will be held as part of the state aid scheme with EUR 4.7 million made available. The ministry said it expects the call to be published in September or October.
The aim of the call is to support the implementation of environment protection measures by reducing the negative effects of traffic on environment and reducing greenhouse gas emissions and pollutants in traffic, the ministry said.
The grants will be given out for demonstration projects of green cargo logistics in Slovenia.
The Climate Change Fund will co-finance projects that will demonstrate reducing emissions in cargo transport with zero-emission vehicles. This includes both the emission-free transport vehicles and the charging or maintenance infrastructure for such vehicles.
Eligible for the call will be companies and sole proprietors, registered for commercial activity, the ministry wrote.
