Ljubljana, 11 November (STA) - Industrial output in Slovenia in September was up 1.7% compared to August, while being 0.4% lower year-on-year. In the first three quarters, it dropped by 1.8% compared to the same period in 2023, the Statistics Office reported on Monday.
In September, the total value of industrial output in mining and quarrying increased by 3.7% on a monthly basis, and in manufacturing it was up by 2.5%. In the electricity, gas and steam supply it was meanwhile down by 3.3%.
Year-on-year, industrial output was down by 0.4%, as it fell by 17.5% in the electricity, gas and steam supply. It was meanwhile up by 10.6% in mining and quarrying and by 2.2% in manufacturing.
The total sales revenue in industry was 0.7% lower on a monthly basis in September - it was lower by 1.1% on the foreign markets and by 1% on the domestic market.
On an annual basis, the total sales revenue in industry increased by 3.2% - it was up in mining and quarrying and in manufacturing.
The total value of inventories in September was up by 1.2% compared to August and 8.1% higher year-on-year.
In the first three quarters, industrial output in Slovenia was down 1.8% compared to the same period last year.
