Brnik, 23 October (STA) - Hyla, a maker of high-quality water vacuum cleaners that both suck and clean the air, laid the foundation stone for a new facility in Brnik on Thursday. Due to a rise in global demand for its products, the company needs a larger building, which is to be completed in 2027. A hundred jobs will be created.
The investment will create new jobs and show that Slovenia has the know-how, innovation and cooperation, Economy Minister Matjaž Han, who attended the event, wrote on X. "The task of the state is to create an environment where you can grow, employ and make breakthroughs," he added.
The new facility of 22,000 square metres will include offices, production and a warehouse. When it is completed in 2027, the company plans to hire another 100 workers in production and development.
According to the business portal Finance, the total value of the investment, including equipment, is EUR 40 million. Hyla has a factory in Ljubljana, and rents an additional warehouse.
It will build its business premises at Brnik in two stages. The warehouse is the most urgently needed, so in the first phase an automated high-bay warehouse will be constructed, which will be followed by production facilities, laboratories, and facilities for development, sales, and other activities in the second phase, CEO and founder of the company Janez Pogačar told Finance.
