Kranj, 11 March (STA) - Gorenjska Banka, a Slovenian regional bank, generated just under EUR 46.3 million in net profit last year, down by 8% compared to the year before. The bank recorded a slight increase in revenue, show unaudited results.
Net interest revenue stayed nearly level at EUR 89.8 million last year, while net commissions grew by 13% to EUR 19.1 million.
The bank's operating profit decreased by 10% to EUR 51.9 million while administrative costs increased by a quarter and provisions and impairment costs remained level.
Non-bank loans totalled EUR 1.69 billion at the end of 2024, up by 6% compared to the end of 2023. Non-bank deposits grew by 3% to some EUR 2 billion.
Gorenjska Banka is owned by the Cypriot company Agri Europe and is part of the business empire of late Serbian businessman Miodrag Kostić.
