Kranj, 04 November (STA) - Gorenjska Banka, part of Cyprus-based AikGroup owned by Serbia's MK Group, posted a net profit of EUR 33.7 million in the first nine months of this year, according to unaudited figures released on Tuesday. This is 5% lower than in the same period last year.
Operating profit fell by 8% to EUR 38.4 million. Net interest income totalled EUR 57.1 million, down 16% year-on-year, while net fees and commissions rose 18% to EUR 16.6 million.
Loans to non-bank clients increased from EUR 1.69 billion at the end of last year to EUR 1.89 billion at the end of September. Deposits from households and companies grew from just over EUR 2 billion to EUR 2.16 billion.
