Ljubljana, 25 September (STA) - Tehnos, a family firm that specialises in farm machinery, has been named Exporter of the Year by the business portal Finance after having become a top ten European producer of mulchers.
The company developed an innovative electric mulcher where the electric engine is build into the mulcher's rotor, Finance said as it conferred the award on Wednesday.
Tehnos has doubled revenue in five years and value added per employee is at EUR 95,000, double the Slovenian average.
Exports account for 95% of revenue. The company is present in 40 markets worldwide, including as far afield as Australia, Canada and Japan.
Finance said the company is distinguished by advanced machinery add competitive prices, made possible by huge investments in digitalisation and robots.
