Ljubljana, 21 November (STA) - Consumer confidence in Slovenia deteriorated by one percentage point in November from October to end six percentage points below the long-term average, shows the latest Statistics Office data. Consumers are however slightly more optimistic than a year ago.
Pushing the index down the most this month was consumer expectations about major purchases (-4pp) and views on current household finances (-1pp).
Expectations about the country's economy and about household finances have on the other hand improved, by two and one points, respectively.
Compared to November 2023, consumer confidence improved by one percentage point this month and is four points above the 2023 average.
The annual increase was driven by more optimistic expectations about the household's finances (+6pp) and views on current household finances (+4pp).
