Ljubljana, 24 February (STA) - Slovenia's business sentiment rose 0.3 percentage points in February to stand at -2.2 percentage points, shows data published by the Statistics Office on Monday. Business sentiment increased by 0.7 percentage points compared to February 2024 but stayed level with the long-term average.
In February the business sentiment was boosted by sentiment in manufacturing, which contributed 0.5 percentage points to the growth, services (0.2 percentage points) and construction (0.1 percentage points).
Consumer confidence deteriorated, dragging the headline figure by 0.6 percentage points. Sentiment in retail did not affect the overall business sentiment.
In annual comparison sentiment in manufacturing and in retail boosted the overall business sentiment, by 1.1 and 0.5 percentage points, respectively. Consumer confidence lowered the business sentiment by 0.5 points and sentiment in services lowered it by 0.4 points.
