Sevnica, 17 October (STA) - Adria Mobil, a maker of caravans and motorhomes, has been named Factory of the Year for 2025, a title conferred by the business news portal Finance in cooperation with management consultancy KPMG.
Adria Mobil employs 1,300 people and produces up to 18 trailers, 26 motorhomes and 20 vans a day on average. Its four assembly lines for the production of caravans and motorhomes cover more than 15,000 square metres in Novo Mesto, while in Bič in the municipality of Trebnje, its two assembly lines stretch over 7,000 square metres. The vehicle frame manufacturing plant in Novo Mesto covers more than 10,000 square metres.
Due to the large number of components in production, the wide range of basic vehicle models, and their customization, it is essential to have good data management in both production and other business functions. The processes are digital throughout the company, Finance said.
"The key factor in the tough selection process in the end was what Adria Mobil represents not only in Slovenia but also in Europe. There, its product is known to virtually everyone who uses motorhomes," said Siliko CEO Andraž Brodnjak, a member of the jury, as his company hosted the event on Thursday evening being last year's winner.
Adria Mobil also won the award for best engineer and development team.
The award for most sustainable factory went to paper mill Paloma, while the award for a successful digitization project in the small and medium-sized enterprise category was presented to Aplast, a manufacturer of plastic products using rotomoulding technology.
